Gil Davenport comes to Quality Pool Supply with a diversified background in graphic design and as an experienced swimming pool owner. Gil was hired in February and he immediately made an improvement in our catalog by redesigning the cover and upgrading many of the product illustrations inside. In fact, he even designed this Quality Pool Supply website.

Just before coming to Quality Pool Supply, Gil was the graphics manager with GM OnStar for eight years. His graphics team created the system installation manuals used by GM dealers for OnStar. He designed the OnStar buttons you see in many GM cars.

Gil has lived in Michigan most of his life, mainly in the Flint and Clarkston areas. He attended college in Grand Rapids at Kendall College of Design, a part of Ferris State University, where he majored in advertising and marketing. After graduation he started out as a graphic designer in an advertising agency, then became the art director for a publishing house in St. Louis, Missouri. He came back to the Flint area and was hired by Buick to work on a newly established team in Buick's Engineering/Marketing department called the Advanced Concept Group.

For the past 13 years, Gil has lived in Genesee Township with his wife Sue and their son, Jeff.
