Shane Gramling began his employment with Quality Pool in December as a second set of hands in the graphic design department led by Gil Davenport. Previously, Shane worked as a quality control inspector for a tier-one automotive industry supplier, then advanced rapidly to a printing press operator, and on up to a production control & logistics specialist.

Future plans for Shane at Quality Pool include leading the annual catalog project, website updates, and working on various design projects.

Shane realized he had an eye for design in the fifth grade when he was offered a scholarship to the Flint Institute of Arts. All through high school, Shane spent his lunch breaks in the art room – paint brush in hand. It was during this time Shane completed various college courses as well as a Web Design class at the GASC Technology Center where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

Aside from his current position as art director for “The Uncommon Sense” newspaper, Shane tends to the web, print, and photography needs of clients including a storefront business on Hollywood Blvd. CA!

Shane currently lives in sunny-ol’ Flint with his beautiful bride Holly, and two year old son Jericho.
