Phil's first work experience was actually helping out at Quality Pool Supply in the summer of 1975, at the age of 14.  He would sometimes help unload trucks when they were short-handed on those busy summer days.

In the summer of 1978 he went to work for a local pool dealer, helping to install inground pools.  After his first summer in the field, he worked the next three summers during college in the dealer’s store, learning the retail end of the pool business.

After college graduation he worked for two years managing a retail pool store in Fenton, Michigan.  He continued working in the pool business rebuilding inground and above ground pools for several years after that, and also became involved in other businesses.

In 2001 he returned to Quality Pool Supply to work full-time in the customer service department in the Clio branch. In January 2006 he moved to Dublin, Ohio to manage Quality Pool’s central Ohio branch.
